Quick Start to Read the Sample Jet Database

First read in the database schema from the example Jet database by executing the following steps:

• From the Database menu, choose Read New Schema from Database Connection.
• Enter 'Customer Order' in the TurboData Details Name. The description is optional.

  

• Set the Database Management System option to Microsoft Jet (Access).
• Set the Database Access Method option to Direct.
• Press the Browse (…) button by the MDB File field at the bottom of the screen. Select the file called 'Customer Order Sample Database.mdb'
• Press the OK push button to read in the database schema.

  This will read in the table and column definition for the example database, and return you to the TurboData primary window. An initial Insert Data Scenario will be created called "Scenario to create data". This can be used immediately to select tables from the database for data generation.
