The default target database is the same as the source sample database read into TurboData. You can tell TurboData to always automatically connect to the target database via the options panel. You can also control the connection yourself. Check the status bar at the bottom of the main window. It will either say 'Target Database: Connected' or 'Target Database: Disconnected'.
