
Figure 0.1 Conversion Codes
Conversion codes are used to to convert data values read in from alternate sources. For example, the value 'A' on a legacy database may be 'Active' on a new database.
You can create sets of conversion codes and values within TurboData. Assign a set of conversion codes to a column from the Alternate Data Source for Generated Data dialog by pressing the Conversion Code push button. From then when data is read in from an alternate data source for that column, the codes read in will be converted to the appropriate value and used in the generated Insert SQL statement.
