Select the desired Microsoft Database Protocol to be used to connect to your database. We recommend that you use ADO (ActiveX Data Objects) if you have MDAC and the appropriate OLE DB provider installed.
If you cannot access your database with ADO then try DAO (Data Access Objects). If you are not accessing the Microsoft Jet database then you cannot create a direct connection to your database, and need to select the ODBC Database Access Method to connect with the DAO protocol.
