An other database can be used as an alternate data source for reading in values from a database to be used when generating data. This is useful for creating very realistic test data based on legacy systems, or for the actual conversion of data from one database to another.

The above example is using a database to obtain Last Names from the Employees table, and will create test data with those names on the Customer table on the sample Customer Order database.

First enter the database connection details, and the press the Table and Column tab. Press the Refresh push button to obtain a list of all the tables on the other database. Select a table and column and press OK.
